Please join us for the University's Christmas Lecture given by the winner of the Tam Dalyell Prize 2011 - Professor Colin Pulham

The lecture is entitled: Chemistry - Our Life, Our Future

2011 has been designated the International Year of Chemistry and this lecture will highlight how creative Chemistry contributes to our society and quality of life. The lecture will include striking demonstrations that illustrate how Chemistry can be applied to the production of sustainable energy, healthy foods, new medicines, and advanced materials. Find out how we can use chemistry to monitor metals in the environment, develop solar cells to produce clean energy, and make new materials that enhance our quality of life. Join us on an exciting journey that will demonstrate the potential of Chemistry to tackle global problems!
